Good article. Running a movie theatre is seriously not for those interested in big profits, unless you're a big company with a huge amount of capital and can dominate the distribution in a populous enough area. There was some talk about film distribution on the Cinemasters a little while ago and some people said that with the way technology's going, eventually movie theatres will just be run by cinephilic eccentrics who scrape together the funds to keep the lights on every month. I dunno about that; I could certainly see it being the case for small-town theatres, art theatres, etc. But as screwy as Hollywood economics are, the movies haven't taken a hit from new technology the way the record industry has. Well, OK, except in Asia. So far it seems that people still like going out to the movies even if they also like to watch movies at home.

Also, that newscaster may be a nice gal and all, but I don't see any kind of a Scarlett Johanssen resemblance.
