Yunus for World Bank

Paul Wolfowitz, photo by Mike BenedettiThis seems to be an obvious good idea: Getting Paul Wolfowitz out of the World Bank and getting Muhammad Yunus to head it instead. I can’t be the first person to think of this? Perhaps I should write Hilary Benn about this?

The Times today named Ashraf Ghani as a U.S. favourite.

Wikipedia notes that the President of the Bank is traditionally an American citizen. It also points out that Ghani is a Muslim and used to be a Marxist. One thing I’ve noticed from Wikipedia articles is that it’s hard to get a sense of a person. An opinionated article by an author of known bias is better.

In search of known bias, I tried Conservapedia on Ashraf Ghani, but failed. Conservapedia isn’t even good at what it’s attempting to do.
