The interview with Grace Ross was awesome. It's also a little spooky in light of what we know now about the scope of the mortgage crisis. If more leaders had adopted her idea of 'untangling' the problem mortgages we might have been able to avoid the situation we are in now. Since the beginning of this crisis, home mortgages have been treated as though they don't have a paper trail, as if it's impossible to find out who is responsible for issuing them and where the money is now. It would have been expensive to turn back the clock on all the bad mortgages but knowing what we know now, we might have tried.
