posted by Mike on May 22nd, 2009

508 is a show about Worcester.

This week, Brendan and Mike talk about: odd police reactions to a Supreme Court ruling; the future of the T&G and a new electronic edition; Worcester’s best vegan date spots; and the underground music scene.

That weird electronic edition of the T&G reminds me of something the NYT did about 5 years ago or so where they made an “electronic version” of the paper that was basically a pdf of the paper’s pages, although again it was some other program, and you had to scroll all around to see the whole page. This struck me as being one of the most useless interfaces I’d ever seen online, combining the worst elements of both print and online reading, and was surprised to see it pop up again in Worcester.

Note that the New York Times owns the T&G.
