I should have written more about Thanksgiving (barring certain strip clubs being open, of course) or Buy Nothing Day (though I did spend $5 at the Salvation Army half-off sale, so perhaps that wouldn&#039;t be the best topic).  I suppose there&#039;s always next year!
My elder son pretty much summed things up at the Thanksgiving table when he told my sister, &quot;If we were doing Thanksgiving the way it should be, we wouldn&#039;t eat anything ALL DAY LONG.&quot;  He also commented on the theological correctness of Santa Claus (&quot;Santa Claus is not real, it&#039;s Saint Nicholas.
