I should have written more about Thanksgiving (barring certain strip clubs being open, of course) or Buy Nothing Day (though I did spend $5 at the Salvation Army half-off sale, so perhaps that wouldn't be the best topic). I suppose there's always next year! My elder son pretty much summed things up at the Thanksgiving table when he told my sister, "If we were doing Thanksgiving the way it should be, we wouldn't eat anything ALL DAY LONG." He also commented on the theological correctness of Santa Claus ("Santa Claus is not real, it's Saint Nicholas. Christians should KNOW that.") Obviously, we still need to work on politeness. Thanks.
