  1. I received this note:

Oxford [England] CND [Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament] and Christian CND are organising a commemoration of Nagasaki Day.

THIS SUNDAY August 8th by the Riverside Centre at Donnington Bridge starting with a picnic and lantern making at 6pm.

with an address by BRUCE KENT, Imam Mubarek Basra and Cllr David Williams, music, reflections.

At 8.30 people will launch the candle-lit lanterns, in the Japanese tradition, into the Thames.

This floating of lanterns has drawn more and more people each year. Please come along and bring friends and food/non-alcoholic drink for the picnic.
