  1. Regarding the question at roughly the 23rd minute, “tag days” and why they are called tag days, my understanding is that traditionally the groups that would solicit donations would give you a little piece of paper or a “tag” that thanked you for your donation. Kind of like the little red poppies that the VFW gives out.

  2. hey I’m famous…look for the “Jim May” references at 10m30s in….Thank you!…How about a show live from Restore?..Maybe a whole show about Restore and go around looking at some of the cool stuff there…Restore is off GOLD STAR BLVD, a one way street, and is just before PERCY’s….I do not think that my question about what we are thanksful is dumb. Growing up in the catholic traditional, one gets used to saying prayers as a group. Asking what we are thankful for allows each person to contemplate and for the rest of us to learn about that person. …Finally, brendan only talks about generators from Home Depot and the ones that are profesionally insstalled. For those of us with less funds, Harbor Freight has some cheaper ones that are good enough to keep the essentials like the fridge and other items powered

  3. Regarding the term “tag days”, I, too, thought it was just a Worcester thing, but (as I found in the course of a lot of research) it’s used all over the US (or at least as far as the Midwest).

I wrote a post about the Habitat ReStore a while ago, in case folks wanted to see some pictures and get a feel for what it’s like.

Finally, regarding Jim’s comments about the generators at Harbor Freight — if you’re a DIYer who would want to have a generator available, but not necessarily come on right when your power goes out, make sure that you take the STARTING watts for any of your major appliances into consideration before you buy one.

  4. The coveted “D” List ! “D” as in a Diamond of a show.
WCCA TV is proud of the voter turnout in this case.

I got a few calls already from folks asking when they can watch the next episode of your show and Konnie’s. Nice work !
