Worcester priests on May Day immigration rally

Father Matos spoke about Worcester’s May 1 pro-immigrant rally after mass at St. Paul’s Cathedral yesterday. Here’s a .wmv video clip in Spanish.

Father Matos speaks on immigration rallies from St Paul

I’ve been told that St. Joan of Arc parish included an announcement about the demonstration in their weekly bulletin.

My Spanish is lousy. Here’s a partial translation someone sent me:

Here’s a rough translation of part of what I recorded…

“We are going as an act of presence.”
We will be in front of City Hall at Sunday at 3:30 in the afternoon
Why? …
You know why?
We are not only for washing the dishes.
We are not only for working in the factories.
We are not only for picking apples and tomatoes.”

He goes on to say we are secretaries, doctors….

The Sunday rally is a new one to me. Is there someone who can provide a good translation?
