Sorry, but I think not telling people about the advantages of pulling out isn’t that far removed from saying we shouldn’t make condoms available to teens-or whoever-because it only encourages them to have sex. same goes for clean needles for that matter. It’s paternalistic, condescending and overly-idealistic. They’ll always be people who distort information or fall prey to urban myths. Despite 20+ tears of sex-ed in public schools, I guarantee you wouldn’t have trouble finding some 15 year old girl who thinks she can’t get knocked up by having sex in a swimming pool. You simply can’t save them all, and you can’t prevent people from making bad decisions. You can, however, make it possible for people who make making bad decisions from making worse ones.

    Keeping people in the dark never helps. You’re either for allowing people to make informed decisions, or you’re not.
